.     SN: Use for papers generally used for envelopes, in lots of 504

.     SN: Use for reams "of paper supplied flat," i.e. unfolded; see

Imperfect paper

. "not made up to the full number of a printer's ream, i.e. 516 sheets";

Inside reams
.     SN: Use for
. "480 sheets or 20 inside quires of 24 [good] sheets each";

Mill reams
.     SN: Use for handmade papers to designate
. "two grades of the same paper ... 18 quires of insides or perfect paper, each quire containing 24 sheets, and two quires of outsides or inferior, broken, or damaged paper, of only 20 sheets each, one on top and one on the bottom, making a total of 472";

Printer's reams
.     SN: Use for "21 1/2 quires of 24 good sheets, i.e. 516 in all";

.     SN: Use for a fourth of a folio ream,
