Katherine Anne Porter at One Hundred: New Perspectives. By Blanche T. Ebeling-Koning. College Park: University of Maryland, 1991. 36 p., illustrated (color). |

| Drawing on the resources of the Porter papers at the University of Maryland, this catalog reproduces exhibition items that richly illustrate the life and work of the author of Ship of Fools. The layout, reminiscent of what one would expect in exhibition cases, balances the importance of illustrations and text, encouraging readers to spend time examining both. The text weaves together chronological information with salient facts about each item shown. The exhibition was partially supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Designed by Maria A. Sese, with photography by John T. Consoli. Printed by Steckel Printing, Lancaster, PA. Catalog produced in conjunction with a traveling exhibition held February 15, 1991 — August, 1992. Division One Winner, 1992. Exhibited courtesy of the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, The University of Texas at Austin. (ES) |
