The Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel offers a great location for business and pleasure. The hotel is located three blocks from the Tremont Grand (where RBMS Meetings will be held). Baltimore's fun, beautiful, and historic Inner Harbor is also only three blocks away. A full fitness center and outdoor pool make it easy to unwind. The award-winning Shula's Steak House and Shula's 2 serve up sizzling fare in a relaxed, comfortable setting.

Reservations can be made by telephone (1-866-837-5182) or online; remember to identify yourself as part of the "ACRL Rare Books Preconference" taking place June 19-22 to receive the discounted group rate. The Sheraton Baltimore City Center accepts all major credit cards. Reservations may be canceled without penalty no later than 1 day prior to arrival.

Charles Commons

Charles Commons, a new Johns Hopkins residence community, offers well-appointed suite style single residence rooms.  The suites consist of two single rooms and one bathroom as well as a kitchenette.  Full bed and bath linens are provided.  $48 per night/per person.  Parking is available for $7 a night.  The garage is a shuttle ride across campus from Charles Commons. As of April 6, the Charles Commons rooms are sold out. 

Attendees who choose to stay at Charles Commons may reach the Tremont Plaza either via the free Hopkins Shuttle, the #3 or #11 city buses, taxi, or car. 

You may catch the Hopkins shuttle in front of Charles Commons on St. Paul Street, and descend at the Peabody stop at St. Paul and Centre Streets in Mount Vernon. From the stop you will need to walk one block west to Charles street and approximately six blocks south to arrive at the Tremont Grand meeting facility. To return to Charles Commons, walk approximately seven blocks north on Charles Street to catch the shuttle at the base of the Washington Monument at Mount Vernon Place; it will stop in front of Charles Commons on Charles Street.

You may also take city buses to arrive at the meeting center. The #3 bus stops at St. Paul Street between 33rd and 32nd Streets and will let you off near Cathedral Avenue and Saratoga Street approximately two blocks northwest of the Tremont Grand meeting facility. The #11 bus stops directly alongside the Homewood Campus Center at Charles and 33rd Streets, and also stops near Cathedral Avenue and Saratoga Street. The city bus costs $1.65 each way (exact change), or $3.50 (exact change) for a one day pass.
