This page contains links to indexes of special collections libraries and archival repositories, both general and specialized, around the world.

- This site provides links to over 3,600 repositories and is the most comprehensive in existence. The site is arranged by geographical area, and includes links to archives and libraries throughout the United States and the world. In addition, there are links to other indexes of special collections and archival sites.
Specialized Resource Guides
- British Columbia Archival Resources (Archives Association of British Columbia)
- This page provides a listing of archival repositories in British Columbia as well as an archival union list.
- Canadian Archival Resources on the Internet (Univ. of Saskatchewan)
- A listing of Canadian archives, arranged alphabetically by the name of the institution.
- Congressional Collections at Archival Repositories (Univ. of Delaware)
- This resource is organized alphabetically by repository, with listings of the congressional papers held by the repository. Links are provided to both the repository and to the particular collection, if online materials are available.
- Directory of Archives in Australia (Univ. of Melbourne)
- Links on this page are arranged alphabetically by the name of the repository.
- Directory of Special Collections of Research Value in Canadian Libraries (National Library of Canada)
- This site provides indexes by subject area, collection, and institution to a database of archival collections throughout Canada. The database is also searchable by keyword, title, and subject.
- Guide to Uncovering Women's History in Archival Collections (Univ. of Texas, San Antonio)
- This site provides links to pages describing archives and libraries' holdings of primary resources related to women. Created by the Archives for Research on Women and Gender, UTSA.
- Presidential Libraries (Yahoo)
- Links to the presidential libraries are provided alphabetically by the name of the repository (for example, the Lyndon B. Johnson Library is listed after the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library).
- State Archives and Historical Societies (Ohio Historical Society)
- Alphabetical listing of state archives and historical societies.
- UK Archival Repositories on the Internet (Simon Wilson)
- British libraries, archives, and record centers are listed alphabetically by the name of the institution, with some exceptions. For example, the Bodleian Library is listed under "B" instead of "O" for Oxford University.
